Getting away doesn’t mean you have to go far away. This year we’re bringing our retreat to our spiritual home at WRT. Turn off your cell phone, retreat from the routines of everyday obligations, and treat yourself. Join women of all ages and stages as we take the time to slow down and reconnect to ourselves, our community of women, and our spirituality. Spend time with WRT’s inspiring teachers, Sorel Goldberg Loeb and Cantor Jill Abramson; celebrate a day of Shabbat together, full of reflection, laughter, and conversation; connect on a deeper level with old and new friends. You’ll come away replenished, renewed, and ready to embrace the new season.

Keynote speaker Dani Shapiro is the renowned author of Devotion, an intimate memoir of motherhood, daughterhood, modern midlife and spiritual crisis that invites readers to take stock of their own spiritual inventory. Devotion was chosen by the Today show as one of winter 2010’s best books, and named a must-read by Oprah.  A respected teacher, novelist and essayist, Shapiro is the author of the novel, Family History, and the best-selling memoir, Slow Motion. Her short stories and essays have appeared in the New Yorker, Granta, the Los Angeles Times, Elle, Bookforum, O, The Oprah Magazine, Vogue, and others, and have been broadcast on National Public Radio.

After lunch, choose two of our three break-out sessions that celebrate mind, body and spirit:

Workshop with author/teacher Dani Shapiro;

 Yoga (for everyone!) with Iris Cohen, founder of Be True Yoga Studio;

Exploring Torah with Cantor Jill Abramson and Sorel Goldberg Loeb.

Register deadline is April 1.  Space is limited.
