Barbara J. Nitzberg joined WRT as Membership & Program Engagement Director in July 2026. She has over three decades of corporate and nonprofit experience in youth development, healthcare and higher education.
Barbara has raised her employers’ international profile and led two award-winning campaigns: End-of-Life Care in the Jewish Community and a restoration effort for a Memorial Scrolls Trust scroll (No. 515) that raised double the fundraising goal.
Barbara serves on the board of directors for Roula’s Kids, which provides free bereavement support for children and families. She also volunteers for Calvary Hospital and New Rochelle Girl Scouts.
A graduate of Cornell University, Barbara served three terms on the Cornell University Count and is the former president of the Cornell Asian Alumni Association.
Barbara, her husband Andrew and their two children live in New Rochelle.
