ABOUT OUR SERVICES:
Adult Services: This service is recommended for adults and teens ages 14 and older. Enhanced by our professional choir and instrumentalists, our worship experience utilizes the Reform Movement’s High Holiday machzor (prayer book), Mishkan HaNefesh. The prayers of Yizkor will be recited at the morning service of Yom Kippur. However, names will only be read at the Yom Kippur Afternoon concluding service.
Intergenerational Services: Held in WRT’s beautiful Beit Midrash, this increasingly popular service is designed for older teens, young adults, older adults and their families. Our Intergenerational Service will feature uplifting music and utilizes the Reform Movement’s High Holiday machzor (prayer book), Mishkan HaNefesh. Rabbi Blake will offer the same sermon in this service as he is delivering at morning Adult Services in the sanctuary.
Family Services: Led by our clergy, this prayer service is designed for elementary school-aged children and their families and uses Visual Worship that is projected on large screens.
Tot Services: Preschool-aged children and their families will love celebrating the High Holidays at this bite-sized service, led by our clergy, and featuring sing-along songs, stories, and shofar!
Yom Kippur Afternoon: This year’s Yom Kippur afternoon service will explore WRT’s theme for the year: Hineni: Answering the Call. Using the book of Jonah (the traditional reading for Yom Kippur afternoon) as the framing text, WRT’s clergy interns, Emma Aaronson, Phillip Fisherman, and Micah Glickman, will reflect on what calls them to Jewish leadership and will share what it means for them as future clergy to “answer the call” in this moment in Jewish life.
