Legacy Circle

One day, Honi was walking along the road when he saw a man planting a carob tree. 

Honi asked, “When will the tree bear fruit?”
The man replied, “It will not produce fruit until seventy years have passed.” 

Honi asked, “Do you believe you will live another seventy years and enjoy the fruit of this tree?” 
The man replied, “Just as my ancestors planted for me, I too am planting for my descendants.”

We hope you will consider choosing to support WRT through a bequest or other planned gift.  Your commitment will ensure that our spirited and dynamic Jewish community will continue to pray, educate, celebrate, and comfort together for generations to come.  

When you make a planned gift to WRT, please let us know so that we can include you in WRT’s Legacy Circle.  The Legacy Circle is a meaningful way to leave a lasting impact on the future of our beloved spiritual home. 

You can provide for WRT’s future by making the temple a beneficiary of any of the following: 

  • A simple bequest in your will—for a set dollar amount or a percentage of the residual (what is left over after heirs and other obligations are paid from an estate)
  • A portion of your retirement account (IRA)
  • A new or existing life insurance policy
  • A charitable gift annuity (CGA). This enables you to make a charitable contribution to WRT and receive financial benefits for yourself. When you create a CGA for WRT, you will receive guaranteed income for life, and, potentially, both an immediate tax deduction and future tax savings. Many donors find that a CGA enables them to boost their philanthropy to a higher level than they had ever thought possible.

You may also wish to consult with your professional advisor(s) about the best way to include WRT in your estate plans. We are also happy to speak with you and your advisor(s) to help craft a planned gift that works best for you.
